We told you on August 17th that RIM was selling their SharePoint client for BlackBerry that ties into BES for enterprise users. Now a few weeks later RIM remembers that they launched the client and has finally gotten around to announcing it officially. They hope to tap the 100 million licensed SharePoint users around the world with the product though I really wish it was a free client and did not require a company to tie it into their BES.

RIM tiene disponible información en su página web información referente a un cliente para Microsoft Sharepoint para dispositivos smartphone BlackBerry. Algo que muchas empresas van a agradecer, ya que el poder acceder a Sharepoint de una manera decente con un dispositivo BlackBerry es algo que se encontraba a faltar, y por lo visto permite la integración de eventos de sharepoint con el calendario del dispositivo y otras funcionalidades. Claro está que el hándicap en un dispositivo BlackBerry cuando se trata de documentos de Office es visualizarlos decentemente, el tema de la pantalla tan pequeña es algo que limita mucho su funcionalidad, aunque si hablamos de acceder con BlackBerry PlayBook eso es otro cantar.
