BlackBerry Curve 9360 now available from Three UK

 

Looking to get yourself a new BlackBerry Curve? Well Three UK has added the Curve 9360 to their BlackBerry collection and is available on 24-month contracts and pay as you go. The slimline Curve is the latest addition to the Curve family and runs BlackBerry 7.

Monthly plans start at £25 a month and you can get it on pay as you go for £229.99. Incidentally, Three UK have stopped selling the popular Curve 8520, now that the new Curve is available.

Waterloo, ON – Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) ha anunciado hoy que los smartphones BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 y BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 son los primeros smartphones NFC con SIM en recibir la certificación de MasterCard WorldWide como dispositivos aprobados para PayPass.

La certificación se otorgó en base a que los smartphones BlackBerry® cumplen los requisitos de MasterCard en cuanto a funcionalidad, interoperabilidad y seguridad. Con esta certificación, cualquier banco que emita MasterCard PayPass en todo el mundo podrá asignar cuentas habilitadas para MasterCard PayPass a la tarjeta SIM de estos smartphones.

El ecosistema para permitir que los clientes se aprovechen de los smartphones BlackBerry certificados para pagos a través de NFC está en pleno crecimiento. France Telecom–Orange cree que NFC móvil tiene el potencial de hacer posible una nueva revolución en el mundo móvil al aumentar la conexión entre el mundo digital móvil de las personas y el mundo físico a su alrededor. Official OS 7.0.0.400 for the BlackBerry Curve 9360 now available from Orange Spain

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 seems to be picking up traction as it hits more carriers across the globe, and today we have a shiny new OS to keep things running smoothly. OS 7.0.0.400 is now available for the Curve 9360 from Orange Spain. Reports are good on this one so far, so if you have a Curve 9360 then get to downloading and fire this one up. O2 UK confirms it will stock the BlackBerry Curve 9360

Following RIM's unveiling of the Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370 earlier today, O2 UK follows Vodafone UK in announcing that they will be stocking the BlackBerry Curve 9360.

O2 seem pretty quick on the ball lately, normally a network that stocks a device later than others they are now one of the first to announce or release a device. Always good to see networks on the ball. So, any current BlackBerry Curve owners looking to upgrade to the new sleeker and thinner line? Sound off in the comments.

It is not surprising we are seeing a lot networks making announcements today -- with RIM officially revealing the newest Curve devices -- networks would want to assure their customers that they will be able to get the device from them. So, next up in line to confirm it will be stocking the Curve 9360 is Three UK. Along with their announcement they’ve also given us a sneak peak video. Again there is no confirmation of a release or pricing details but being a Curve device, it is probably safe to say that most networks would make it free on monthly contract and it would also be available on Pay and Go.

The calm before the CrackBerry storm... get ready for it!

Enjoy the calm while it lasts... Things are about to get CRAZY CRACKY around here.

If you're a long time reader of CrackBerry.com you know what happens when a new BlackBerry Smartphone hits the market... we go nuts! And to think we're on the verge of a wave of new BlackBerry 7 Smartphones getting announced and hitting the market after jonesing so long I have a feeling things are going to get really cracky around here, really soon. Don't forget, there's a BlackBerry 7 fan night coming up tomorrow and knowing RIM's habits we can fully expect they'll officially announce anything new that may get shown off at the events prior to them getting underway.

With August here I'm so relieved the wait is *almost* over. Seriously, the last BlackBerry Smartphone review I posted was of the Bold 9780 and that was back in December 2010. Talk about new BlackBerry withdrawal! And while the BlackBerry Bold 9900's unveiling at BlackBerry World helped to satisfy my cravings for a few days, my thumbs have been twitching for months now in anticipation of getting a hold of some new BBs to call my own. And I can only imagine so many of you reading this feel the same way. But instead of feeling impatient and mad at RIM for taking so long, it's time to start enjoying the last few weeks on whatever BlackBerry you own now as you get ready to say farewell to it and upgrade to a BlackBerry 7 device.

We've got a TON of stuff planned for the upcoming weeks to ring in what really is the new BlackBerry Smartphone Year, so be sure to enjoy this last bit of calm before the BlackBerry storm rolls into town (no, not that Storm!). Before you know it, it's going to be raining new phones around here!

BlackBerry Curve 9360 Also Found on eBay

You have to love how these unreleased devices are showing up on eBay. They usually get sold behind the scenes but once they show up on eBay you know there are quite a few mulling around. We told you about the BlackBerry Bold 9900 that was spotted on eBay but now we have the BlackBerry Curve 9360 there too (spotted by BBNews.pl) from a different seller in the UK. Its going for GBP 379.00 which translates into about $608.14.

BlackBerry Curve 9360 Smiles For The Camera Again

 

We have seen the upcoming BlackBerry Curve 9360 quite a few times already but I cannot get enough of the eye candy. Instead of the previous small upgrades in the Curve line we now have a huge jump forward with the mid range BlackBerry Curve 9800. It is packing a brand new 800Mhz CPU along with 512mb of RAM, NFC, Compass, GPS, 5MP camera, and is super thin. Unannounced BlackBerry Curve 9360 Lands Leaked OS 7.0.0.182

While most readers will have no use for it we now have OS 7.0.0.182 for the unannounced BlackBerry Curve 9360 floating about thanks to CrackBerry. Those who do have the device probably already have the OS but its nice to see that RIM is making some serious headway with OS updates. In the past we have seen most RIM devices start launching in the late .100s early .200s with AT&T usually waiting for the late .200s OS builds.

RIM updates screen resolution information for developers, inadvertently announces new BlackBerry devices

For developers, updating their applications to new devices can be easy but when new screen resolutions are introduced that task does indeed become a little bit harder. A prime example of this is when we were at BlackBerry World, Kevin, Adam and I tested out Angry Farm on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 to see if it would play any better with the new processor. Given that Angry Farm was not optimized for the Bold 9900 some portions of the game didn't fit the screen. The of course was because the BlackBerry Bold 9900 had a larger screen resolution then what the game was set to display.

So in short, developers will need to update their apps in order to make sure they work on the 9360, 9810, 9850, 9900 and 9930. Wait -- what? 9360, 9810, 9850? Yeah, Research In Motion just inadvertently outed the new BlackBerry Curve, Torch 2 and Torch 9850 via their own BlackBerry Developers blog. Although to their credit they are still listed as simulator models. However, we already know what they are due to all the previous leaks so I guess the real question here is -- when are you going to officially announce these devices RIM? You know, since even the simulators are now available and all.
